10 safety measures for using small excavators

Transfer the small excavator to the construction site and transport it using a flatbed trailer.

2. If the ground is soft during the walking and working of small excavators, sleepers or pads should be placed on it. Swamp areas must first undergo roadbed treatment or replace with specialized track shoes.

3. It is prohibited to excavate rocks or frozen soil of grade five or above that have not been blasted.

When excavating with a small excavator, the working surface should not exceed the maximum excavation height and depth specified by the performance of the machine, except for loosening the soil. During operation, the track of a small excavator should maintain a safe distance of at least 1-1.5m from the edge of the working face.

5. Before starting, check the working equipment, walking mechanism, safety protection equipment of each part, hydraulic transmission components, and electrical equipment to confirm that they are completely intact before starting.

6. There should be no pedestrians or obstacles in the work area. Before excavation, sound a warning and try digging several times to confirm that everything is normal before starting the work.

7. When encountering large solid stones or obstacles, excavation can only be carried out after they have been removed. Do not use a bucket to break rocks, frozen soil, or use a single-sided bucket tooth to forcefully gnaw.

8. When excavating cliffs, protective measures should be taken. There should be no loose large stones left on the working face. If there is a danger of collapse, it should be dealt with immediately or the small excavator should be evacuated to a safe area.

When doing homework, it is necessary to wait for the machine to come to a complete stop before digging. The bucket should not be lifted or lowered too forcefully, and should not collide with the frame or tracks during descent.

10. When loading, the bucket should be lowered as much as possible and should not collide with any part of the car. Do not load the car until it has come to a complete stop or the bucket must jump over the cab and the driver has left.
