Therefore, immediately after replacing the fuel filter in a small excavator, a so-called flushing is carried out by flowing fuel through the fuel supply pipe to clean foreign objects. When flushing, switch the flow of fuel to the bypass pipe side near the front of the engine to prevent fuel from flowing into the engine. The fuel flowing into the bypass pipe during flushing is discharged to the drain tank, and the fuel accumulated in the drain tank is discarded.
